How to report a bug
1. Give us the steps to reproduce the bug
2. Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)
3. Enter the actual results you’re experiencing
4. Enter the expected results of the feature
5. Add any relevant screenshots/videos
6. If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

Keep historic cards unchanged with alchemy
Dont change Historic with Alchemy updates. This destroys the only eternal format available on Arena, which is important. It will kill interest in Arena.

Do not destroy historic.
Alchemy is a fine idea. Putting the rebalanced cards into historic is not. You are ruining a game mode that people have spent thousands on.
Keep alchemy balances on standard legal paper cards in alchemy.
It's so simple that it blows my mind you have ended up where you are right now.

Provide an eternal format for MTGA
I am not opposed to Alchemy or Historic being a unique digital only format, but an eternal format where cards are unchanged needs to be implemented on Arena. Pioneer and/or Modern being the most logical. It could even be another unique format (Pioneer plus fetch lands because shuffling isn’t an issue in digital) like Historic was prior to the digital only cards. But consistency with paper cards and allowing cards to live on post-standard rotation is something that a significant portion of the player base wants, and I believe is necessary for the long-term health of MTGA.

Infinite loop
Player controls Heliod, Sun crowned and Soul warden, Constantly targeting Scurry Oak to make dudes, gain life, make dudes, gain life etc, and cannot be stopped by opponent only play the other player, which can go on for days, weeks, months, years.....

Alchemy
Alchemy makes me not want to play MTGA at all I see this issue that you are trying to address but this not the right way to do so. I want to play magic not hearthstone, this just feels bad it feels like a betrayal of magic at its core and it make me concern about investing in arena at all if this is the direction your going in.

i dont care about standard or alchemy - do what you want with this formats. but leave historic alone. dont make it a life format, no rebalancing of cards, do not shove digital only cards down our throat. nobody asked for this. we want quality of life features, we want a better economy and we want pioneer. stop messing around. give us a non rotatind place to play with our cards, and most important STOP IT with this digital only cards nonsense!

Please don't mix Alchemy with Historic
If those changes happen I will uninstall the game, I love mtg and have played for more than 15 years now, I have my Arena account since the closed beta and have convinced multiple of my friends to ditch other tcg's for Arena. I play exclusively historic, as I prefer non rotating formats, a long time ago you promised to implement Pioneer onto the client, but you lied about it, now you plan to terminate the only eternal format available without ant consideration to your player-base. Alchemy
Alchemy as an "alternate Standard" is a fun idea that I don't mind -- while I like Standard, being able to switch back and forth between Standard and Alchemy without too much hassle (and getting to play a new format with most of the same cards if Standard is stale) is great. But I am super unhappy about the rebalanced cards being the versions legal in Historic and Historic Brawl. Reconsider Alchemy
Wizards, we all know you love a cash grab and do the bare minimum for players. Could probably write a book full of examples.
But we play anyway, cuz the game is good.
Are ye not going a wee bit too f**king far now though? I don't even gaf about Historic and can see this as a terrible idea, awfully implemented, woefully announced.

Fix/Update Existing Problems First before Alchemy
Seriously WOTC? Why on earth would you make a new format when your existing platform needs so much work. If you want to add new features, add the ones your player base has been begging for, not ones the game would be perfectly fine without. All you’re doing is creating more of a mess for yourselves in the long run and slowly but steadily eroding your player base

Alchemy and historic
Alchemy as a format isn’t an issue but the rebalanced cards is a huge issue for historic. You originally promised me that all my old standard cards would have a home in historic but now those same powerful cards might not even be playable in historic. I’m not asking you to remove this. Instead please add pioneer ASAP so my “paper” version from start date decks can still be played in an eternal format on arena

Alchemy
WOTC, if you guys want a quick cash grab, it's simple: Just. Give. Us. Pioneer. One set every few months is bound to sell well, and the player base will be satisfied.
WOTC would make more money and please players much more with just this simple measure.
Instead we get a format no one asked for, with rules nobody asked for. Stop trying to be Steve "costumers don't know what they want" Jobs. This is good of you are innovating and bringing new things to the table, but terrible if you are not listening to your costumers MOST BASIC DEMANDS…

Leave Historic untouched!
Just leave historic as it is now.

alchemy historic changes
This change for historic is outrageous. Why should the historic card pool be nerfed for this fancy new separate standard mode?
This change is just plain stupid and kills mtga for me.
No new changes to the client for years, no introduction of existing table top modes. The client crashes at random times since 2 or 3 patches ago.It would be far better to clean up your mess before expanding onto it and dragging the only worthwhile thing for me down with it.
I' am currently considering dropping mtga all together when alchemy goes live

Do not add Alchemy to Historic!
Do not make Alchemy in Historic mandatory, the player base does not want this, the comments about leaving MTGA aren’t all empty threats.

Add Alchemy as a separate thing
Add Alchemy as a separate gamemode entirely, and let historic become the eternal format for MTGA.
Take the opportunity to move the digital only cards out of historic and into historic alchemy instead.
There is only two reasons for why you wouldn't do this; Either you intentionally do this because you believe you can get more money, or you simply haven't understood why an eternal format is needed.
I'm choosing to believe the latter for now. Revert this absolute travesty of a decision, and everyone will be happy, or keep your current course and at least I will no longer…

Make a seperate „Paper“-Historic Option
With the recent changes to Historic it just does not any longer serve its purpose as a way to use old Standard cards in another format.
There is just no longer a incentive to build a Historic collection or Historic decks, when cards can be changed sort of randomly.
I think that long term this will also affect Standard popularity and the overall player base.20 votes -
Alchemy and Historic
Is this a bad joke? Surely you can’t be this incompetent. Adding nerfed cards that are BALANCED FOR STANDARD to historic is idiotic. Also, literally no one asked for Alchemy what a waste of resources. Where is Pioneer, 4 player brawl, Modern or the myriad of other formats people actually want to play?! Will you be providing gem refunds for all the historic decks I built or should I just chargeback?
