I ran into issues like that by now. Everything went fine, then suddenly I couldn't start the game anymore as it "couldn't find updates". I reinstalled and it worked again for two days. Now it gave me an in game notification of being unable to update the game as opposed to the popup earlier. Tried reinstalling again and now I am stuck in the process of installing it because I keep getting messages telling me that it can't get updates. Kind of frustrating that it persists after trying a couple of solutions. On my phone everything works fine...

@Jackley TwinKegs#44215 is correct!!!!! been locked out for a hot sec!!! I've litterly had to install on every devise in my house, I was running out of things to install on... this worked like a charm!!!

So I found the solution!

When you select MTG Arena to be uninstalled using Revo Uninstaller, two windows will pop up.
One of which, we are all familiar with. It will say that you are missing the MTGA Installer file...929304.
Click cancel and look for the second window.

It will give you the option to search for remaining MTG Arena files on your computer. Run the scan on Moderate and delete ALL of the files that are still on your computer.

Then redownload MTG Arena. You might have a more recent version of a Microsoft Visual C++ file, just skip the older version and continue the download.

Hopefully, that works! I've been stuck out of the game for more than six months!

This is happening to me and I put in a ticket to support which directed me to here. So just like the problem, the solution seems to be a loop.

On our side, we cannot uninstall or update the game so we are locked out of the game because we do not have access to that file which I screenshotted for them. MTGA Installer...929304.Msi. Unfortunately for us, it seems to be a very rare issue since only 11 votes so I doubt it'll be focused on due to resources. We're screwed.

On their side, they have no idea what exactly went wrong and seem to have no fix, three years later. Its seemingly rare occurrence doesn't help.

I can no longer play magic at all, I would honestly like the money I've spent on the game back. It's now been 2 months of making requests with no response for support. Either fix my account or refund me the money I've spent on this game I can't play.

Exact same issue as Spicy_Chicken#18493 below. says im missing the specific .msi file so cant complete uninstall correctly nor can i install again. Please help!

Same problem. Stuck on validating install, and missing .msi file to uninstall. Tried all the troubleshooting like disabling ativirus and creating a seperate user. Dead in the water. I have an open TS ticket, so hopefully someone can figure this out.
