MTG Arena does not start after recent update (12-March-2020)
MTG Arena does not start after recent update. Mouse cursor changes its shape, but screen remains dark. Logs mention:
[1] Plugins: Failed to load 'C:/Program Files (x86)/Wizards of the Coast/MTGA/MTGA_Data/Plugins/AkSoundEngine.dll' with error 'Не найден указанный модуль.'
(dll is in place)
And after that infinite number of:
[1] DllNotFoundException: AkSoundEngine

When it updates I literally am forced to delete the game and reinstall it. Then it loses all my levels and mastery progression and rewards which is incredibly frustrating given all the time I’ve invested in this game. Now I am level 3 when before I was over 100. I didn’t pay for the mastery pass but there are still rewards and -as dumb as this may sound- a sense of achievement in being a higher level. I’m sure I won’t get any of them back which is pretty upsetting. I feel like every month or so I have to start from scratch again . . .

I can download but every time it updates I have do delete the game and redownload. I have an iPhone 10. That is fully updated. The error message is “outdated client version”

The problem is due that four files are missing inside the installation folder c:\Program Files\Wizards of the Coast\MTGA\MTGA_Data\Downloads\AssetBundle\
Please add the follow files inside the folder:
- bucket_1201_657f949a0b27b824ec9e09cad7167a1f.mtga
- bucket_1201_657f949a0b27b824ec9e09cad7167a1f.mtga.dat
- bucket_1202_73d1bddbbeb10d2d9e9ddbb99c9fe84b.mtga
- bucket_1202_73d1bddbbeb10d2d9e9ddbb99c9fe84b.mtga.dat
If you have an Epic Launch installation, the path where add the files is :
c:\Program Files\Epic Games\MagicTheGathering\MTGA_Data\Downloads\AssetBundle\

Could be that "you need to load the latest Microsoft C++ dll" problem we've had before?

I have the same problem no matter what language I put. I have tried to uninstall install it even delete the folder and nothing. Nothing comes out the screen goes black. It may be that due to the update the access server is overloading when too many people enter at the same time. Since if I open the program again, having one open, I already get the one in the image below that if I don't know if the two processes are colliding with each other or it is a server thing. You could fix it.

Moreover, after a disconnect in the middle of a game, the reconnect button led me to a weird admin panel (see screens attached). I exited the game and tried to reload it, but now it's only a black screen

starting the MTG software as administrator worked for me (Windows 10). It installed a bunch of updates (around 1 GB) . Then I had to login again. At first it said "Waiting for server" seemingly forever so I canceled the task, restarted MTG again and then it worked again.
