Happens every time. Sometimes this results in crashing during or after it completes its progress.

I have the same problem. It takes 10-15 minutes to log-in and although the game does not crash after, I find that the game is very slow and puts a lot of pressure on my mac, with ram, cpu and fans at full speed all the time the client is open.

Same issue here. I am running MTGArena on three different Macs and I have this problem on every single one of them.
My devices:
• Mac mini (Late 2012)
• MacBook Pro 13˝ (2018)
• iMac Pro 27˝ (2018)By the way, if I don't move the mouse around, while the client is checking the assets the Arena crashes completely on startup. If I move the cursor around the game usually starts auf the check is completed. Really strange.
I hope this get's fixed in a coming patch.
Cheers

Same here. I came here because I love MTG, and because you finally had a working mac client. But, uh, this isn't a working mac client.
Spending 5 to 10 minutes every login to recatalog my assets is boring. I have binders full of paper cards if I want to do that for a day. -

This is happening to me on PC except I get stuck in the validation stage, nothing seems to be able to get me back into the game and I have tried unistalling and re-installing the game several times now. I did get it to 99% once by deleting the log files associated with MTGA, but it just got stuck for 12hours (give or take) at 99% instead!!

Nothing like downloading the game on mac after years of waiting only to have it be super buggy as soon as I invest money into seasonal content. Honestly it was almost easier running this on a wineskin and even that was a pain in the ass. The mac nightmare continues...

Same issue. Every single time, takes about 20 minutes to check then usually it crashes the moment I not play it it’s in full screen mode. Pretty much unplayable at this point usually. I do get a few games in every once in a while but very unreliable. Attempted uninstall/reinstall no luck same issue. Really I’m blaming it on epic but who knows? Not even Wotc.

Same thing here. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, doesn't really help. It only takes a few seconds to check the assets, but hey, the bug is there.

I'm another Mac user. I've been waiting a lot to be able to play the game! Sometimes I also need to restart the game several times going through this issue, because game also crashes as soon as it finally starts.

Same issue here on a 2017 iMac, ever since the Mac client launched on the 25th. I submitted a ticket about it that day and still haven't gotten any response.
My client also crashes more or less immediately after loading into the main menu.

I am experiencing the same issue, and have opened a ticket. Unfortunately, all I get is Windows-oriented answers:
"I'm sorry to hear you're running into this issue! Other users have found a workaround documented here (https://forums.mtgarena.com/forums/threads/16551?page=7), which is to do the following:
Uninstall MTG Arena. If uninstalling using Programs and Features leaves behind files, you may be able to use a 3rd party utility like Revo Uninstaller to perform a clean uninstall.
Use a US-based VPN connection.
Redownload MTG Arena from this link (https://mtgarena.downloads.wizards.com/Live/Windows32/MTGAInstaller.exe) and reinstall the game"
"Thank you for your patience while we worked on this for you. In this case, I would suggest trying the steps below. These steps have been known to help resolve the issue that you are experiencing:
Unplug your Router and plug it back in after 10 seconds
Change your network status from Private to Public
Press the "Windows key" + i
Click the Network & Internet Button
Click on Wifi or Ethernet depending on if you are connected via WiFi Internet or Hardwired
On the right-hand side, left-click the network you are on
Under Network Profile, change the setting to public. In the case that you do not see Network Profile, look for the "Make this PC discoverable" and make sure that this is "On"
Change the resolution of your computer and restart
Change your DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 1.0.0.1
Go to the Control Panel.
Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
Right click on the adapter that you are using internet through and right click >Properties
Select the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and then click Properties.
Click Advanced and select the DNS tab.
Click OK.
Select Use the following DNS server addresses.
Replace those addresses with the IP addresses of the DNS servers - For IPv4: 1.1.1.1 or 1.0.0.1
Restart the connection you selected in step 3.
Update your Graphics Drivers
Check in your Nvidia Control Panel (Nvidia) or Catalyst Software (AMD) and see if your computer is using the proper graphics card"I don't know about you guys, but this just seems like too much empirical testing to try to solve this issue.

I too receive this error every time I have to restart the app. The game appears to run OK, I do have random crashes occasionally. this only happens on the Mac client.
