The Brainac developers have now introduced a new bug with the latest update. Instead of the Unity Error, we now get nothing when MTGA crashed and now MTGA just disappears! No application event codes produced to know what the error was. This is impressive stuff to f.up so badly.

Works for me now. Uninstalled. Reinstalled wifi adapter drivers. Noticed that MTGA troubleshooting was directing me to the Program Files (x86) folder, but MTGA had installed to Program Files. Reinstalled MTGA but to the x86 folder. Installed and launched fine.

I now got rid of it apprently. I had a problem with another game (StarCitizen) not downloading correctly. While looking for a solve someone stated that it is likely to be a problem with outdated network cards/adapters (rest of the discussion was about the winsocket reset via cmd.exe, so they recommend the same solves as here in MTG Arena). The oldest piece that i used on my Computer was a over ten years old Wifi USB Adapter for Windows 7 with its latest driver update in 2012. Seems like nowadays downloads are too much for my old adapter so I got me a new one for 16€ and now everythings perfectly fine.
So maybe you guys just have some outdated hardware.

Download the latest version of Visual C++ then delete Magic Arena and install again. It worked for me.

Stay slightly optimistic and enthusiastic, if your invested in this game. It will always be awesome. Problems are annoying or what not, just have an alternative thing to do. This way its like nothing ever happend and no time passed before the fix.

Issue occuring again after MID update. I had the same problem in Kaldheim, which were then solved by simple reinstall with Revo. STX and AFR were fine though. I have no idea why it randomly strikes every now and then.
I tried reinstalling C++ and .net, also used the .msi installer - no effect. From the log it says the crash is caused by: "The file 'archive:/CAB-25ec4bb73ab3f1701fe92bf50449bb85/CAB-25ec4bb73ab3f1701fe92bf50449bb85' is corrupted! Remove it and launch unity again!" I'm not a dev or engineer, there is probably no sense in trying to fix this myself. I guess it's time to finally give up on this ****** game.

I looked in
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Wizards Of The Coast\MTGA\Crashes\<latestcrash>\error.logand found out that a DLL (AudioDevProps2.dll) caused an Access Violation. I uninstalled "Sonic Studio" which helped me solve the startup crash for me at least.

Admins comment seems useless, there is no updated Technical Troubleshooting article for the Unity Crash.

I think it's a problem lying within Unity. I have a similiar problem (not working game after new patch) with another Unity Game (Horus Heresy Legions, also a card game).

I get the same **** Unity error. In reading the comments below it sounds like WoTc problem and not a my computer problem. I've done all the things suggested too. Drivers are all up to date, unistall/reinstall etc. This really makes me mad as I've been playing since Beta and given them quite a bit of money.

Okay.
-Delete the game with revo Uninstaller
- Do a intense search with revo Uninstaller, delete all entries in the Registry
- Go to your Hard Drive with your Operating System, go USER, go your BABYFACEDUSERNAME, go appData, search all the folders for Wizard of the Coast (and maybe Unity, I do not know if it was from another game) and delete it/them
-restart your computer
-be grumpy while reinstalling MTG Arena, knowing you have to do it all over again next moth. -

agreed. This happens everytime there is an update

It works for me now after I deleted all Microsoft C++ versions on my PC and reinstalled the most recent one. Dont forget to restart after every step.

Unity crashes have been quite often resolved by installing .net compatibility pack and VC redistributable pack (VC Redist).
Those two have been a must install for MtGA to work properly since... forever.
While game may work properly for some without those, for some it doesn't.Have you guys tried installing them?

Same issue here. I was playing just fine in a lower resolution windowed mode, but I would get Unity crashes when I tabbed in and out to like mess with music and whatnot, so I tried to reinstall via Revo, fully updated Windows and my graphics card, cleaned the registry, deleted the MTGA folder in the temp files, managed AV/firewall permissions, clean reinstall multiple times, basically everything that has been suggested. Now Unity crashes as it's trying to load the initial scene, before it even finishes starting up. :') Glad I didn't actually buy that pass I was eying, bummer that I've spent money at all in this game with what a pain ********** it's been. Beta was more stable than this.
Anyway, is Gwent any good?

Update: I tried what Dacal#36134 said to do. Seemed to have worked, lets me in the game and as soon as i click Done... it crashes. Unity Error.
I then open it up again, this time i actually get past the "These are the cards that are banned BS" But I can't see my card packs, I can hear them as I hover my mouse over nothing. But cant see them. I then go to have a match, I'm pretty excited. After my opponent puts down their 1st card my game freezes and then the Unity error comes up. ******** ******* *****! FIX YOUR ******* **** YOU FATHER FISTING **** ASSED GERBIL RAPISTS!! ********!!!!
