Black screen on match start
While in the menu everything is ok but when match start the screen become black but the sound still ok (if i move the cursor i can ear the sound of card mulligan).
The only whay to not concede is to set the resolution on the lowest, but usually cause visual bug on the board or/and artwork on the card disappear.
Please fix this issue, i'm loving this game
Can’t play at all on mobile. Match starts, unable to agree to mulligan or not…simply a black space instead. When game starts all cards I play have no graphics or abilities. Tried on pc and it works completely fine. iOS doesnt seem supported at all unfortunately and the game is unplayable on my phone. Please fix so I can play mtg on the go! Thank you. Update 6/20/21: game still unplayable on ios…unable to pick a hand, card graphics don’t appear. Will probably delete the app unfortunately.

Same here, happened to me at around 4:30. After googling and trying methods for half an hour with nothing working, I came here to try to start a ticket only to find that this is currently the biggest issue on here XD
EDIT: Scratch that, it seems to have fixed itself somehow. All I did on my side was update my nvidia drivers through geforce experience but I doubt that's what fixed it. Its more likely the issue was server side in the first place. Hopefully it stays fixed and I hope everyone else here has the same luck I did.
I have the EXACT same experience and steps taken as Rax Thrawn#80488. Been using MTGA for about a year and this just started today. How do we fix?

Same as Rax... was just playing from 4-5..couldn’t load into a game and now just black screen and cursor. Did reboot. Did reinstall. Tried on PC and cell phone. Neither working

I'm getting black screen as well. Just happened to me today. Was working just fine and started a new match and all of a sudden, it froze. Shut down the MTG Arena on my Windows 10 systems and started it back up, but just got the black screen. Rebooted computer, and did a full uninstall and re-install from the latest version of the installer, and still getting black screen but you get the MTG Cursor and that is it. I tired running the app in compatibility mode with Windows 7 and Windows 8 as well as running with admin right, and always get the black screen. For those that got this issue not that long ago, I hope you all got it to eventually to work.
Update: Looks like the server is being updated or something. Their status page shows Minor Service Outage. https://magicthegatheringarena.statuspage.io/ Hopefully this will all be fixed soon.
Update2: I'm now at least seeing the MTG Arena background and it looks like it's trying to download updates. The status page still shows minor outage so just have to be patient and wait till they get it resolved. But it does look like things are changing so probably some progress.
Update3: I'm not able to get on with my computer but I can tell their are still server issues. I was able to get into a short match before loosing server connection again on my PC. On my Android Tablet and phone, still haven't got it to work yet. Keeps trying to download updates and disconnects.
Update4: Was probably down for about an hour maybe a little less. Looks like whatever server issues they were having, they were able to get it working again. Verified it's good on Mobile devices and on Windows 10 system.
Getting the same issue. Wizards just can't help themselves, they always have to cause some kind of bug for every single update.
hey everyone.. i experienced all the same issues all day yesterday and just logged back in now and was able to play again, the ONLY THING that I did before hand that I think MIGHT have worked was I disconnected my steam linked account from my profile information on the wizards of the coast website... I have no idea if this is a coincidence or what have you.. but just wanted to write that here and hope it helps anyone else.. Really hope you all get this sorted and it doesn't happen to me again; what a nightmare situation...
**EDIT** this did not change anything immediately. i updated the unlinking of the steam account, then waited roughly 4+ hours to try again. just wanted to be as clear as possible. My thoughts are that the servers need time to sync refreshed/ updated information..
worst part so far is they did not even give me the pack rewards I unlocked that started this whole thing.. but they still have me waiting with the 20 hour new deck timer as though I did unlock something... what total bullshit; that was a mythic rare wildcard I unlocked and now I guess will never get... so fkn annoying.
I've just return to play since a long time (Beta), and after my first win i'm trying to getting my reward... everything stop to work. Since then, only notification of "Asset error" and a black screen with sound and cursor. Try re-installation and more... please, do something.
I got the same issue, black screen, sound and cursor on PC. After MTGA update, I played a few matches then i tried to grab rewards and black screen happens with cursor and sound. After rebooting PC and starting MTGA, still black screen with cursor and sound.

it seems to be attached to my account when using revo it opens up and i can sign in and everything but once the game actually launches same black screen with audio and cursor. I even tried getting on mobile just so i could play, black screen with audio again, i tried downloading the game from epic then trying, same thing. created a ticket some time ago with no response i hope they fix whatever the **** this crazy **** is soon. i've been trying stupid **** for hours on end now to get it to work.
same thing with me its been 10 hours now tried reinstalling starting to get really frustrated..
