Historic VS standard In Standard play
Since the Zendikar release patch I've been playing completely standard legal decks with all standard legal cards in the regular 'Play' queue and I have been getting matched against people playing historic decks/cards. I have even checked for cards that the 'Standard' filter isn't catching like Impassioned Orator and I am still facing people with historic decks.

Agreed! facing historic decks when i just want to play standard causally is so messed up. I will not spend nor buy any gems until this is addressed. How can i learn a new deck when I'm versing over powered historic decks. it's simply unfair, why would this change be a good thing?
historic play and standard play need their own category or everyone playing a standard deck is at a severe disadvantage, versus the entire library of mtgA.

Double confirmed. I’ve been losing rank because of going against Impassioned Orator and Hallowed Priests in Standard Ranked games even though I’ve taken pains to build a Standard deck and have only added cards through the Standard filter, which lets me include Kor Celebrant and Celestial Unicorn. Hence, with the same life-gain theme, I’m losing out to Historic decks which cost less and is being somehow played in Standard matches. Please fix this. I feel that it’s unfair when we are putting in effort to get the latest cards and play them in the standard format.

Can confirm. I have begun rebuilding my Standard decks and noticed that I can field decks with Impassioned Orator in them, even though I can not add Impassioned Orator to a deck if the Standard filter is applied.
