auto mana selection
playing boros. no red cards in hand, but mana selector chose to leave 1 open red mana instead of a white i could have used to cast one of my 3 white spells

I had a similar thing happen to me. As you can see from the screenshot the auto mana left up W/B when my only play was for a single G mana. I had just equipped the leech gauntlets costing 4 and there was G mana available at the time.
