Black Screen After Today's Update
I did today's update this morning and now I cannot play the game. I tried booting it up 5 different times and it just keeps giving me a black screen with the music and the cursor, but that is it. Can you please tell me how to fix it?

This still occurs on MacOS 12.1 if I launch from the MTGA app, but if I launch directly from the Epic Games Launcher, the game will launch fine.

Just tried right clicking and hitting run as administrator and it launched a 5 GB download. For those having issues perhaps try that. Never had issues prior to the October 14th update.

Having the same issues, updated vs studio C++ , uninstalled and installed 3 times, restarted and still have black screen. The game was working 2 days ago now suddenly it is not. On a PC running a very good graphics card.

Pretty sure this is related to our graphics cards being insufficient. VRAM in About This Mac > System Report >. Display and Graphics may/should show under system req.

I had this problem when I installed the game in the Epic Games launcher. Try to install with the executable downloaded from the MTG Arena website. This worked for me. I hope it does for you as well.

I have the same problem since the update of the 14 October, I have a MacOs High Sierra Mid 2011 that meet al the minimum requirements. I have contacted the support but they didn't give me a solution. Two weeks are already passed and they haven't give any motivation about this, very frustrating.

I have the same problem on a 2010 macOS High Sierra. Did all the steps. Uninstall, reinstall, flush the DNS cache, and still nothing. Support says they have no answers.

Update: Sent an email to tech support. They had me run through a series of troubleshooting steps, then basically said we got nothing, wait for a future update to the issue.

2011 MacBook Pro running 10.13.6
At this point, since it is all Mac's pre-2012,
can we confirm that this is the cutoff moving forward?
Or are we going to continue to insist on those "system requirements" that say I can play?
Or can we announce it's something we're looking into?Just need to know if I need a new Mac - and driving Mac sales cannot be Epic Games' intention by any stretch.
