Black Screen After Today's Update
I did today's update this morning and now I cannot play the game. I tried booting it up 5 different times and it just keeps giving me a black screen with the music and the cursor, but that is it. Can you please tell me how to fix it?
Then Changing my current time zone (UTC+1) to "UTC" fixed the issue.
But I would like to keep my current time zone..
I can confirm that changing the time zone help me to get into the game. Obviously it’s not a solution. I’m from the time zone 1 and I changed it to time zone 0.
I hope that WotC will resolve this bug without any condescendant answer as the Wizards_MS14#29616's that has un administrator icon.
Same problem here, setting my computer tu UTC worked but the game seems confused : i didnt receive any of the free deck comming with the last update, couldnt enter the free draft and my daily deck quest is stuck... please fix
Thanks to those who recommended setting my PC's time zone to UTC.
If anyone has the black screen with no sound issue, as in, no loading screen at all, just straight blackness, try right-clicking on the MTGA icon and selecting "Run as administrator". For me, that forced an update download that pushed me to the state where changing the time zone made the game playable.

Same thing here.
Of course, I read the troubleshooting advices and my PC installation is strong enough to run this game.
My PC Installation :
Intel Core2 Extreme X9650 3 Ghz
8 Go RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti
Windows 8.1 (fresh install)
Windows and drivers are up-to-date. MtG Arena has been reinstalled. Visual C++ are up-to-date too.
Changing the time from UTC+1 to UTC+0 partially works : the daily challenge for new deck freezes to 0:00:00 and set UTC+0 is not a suitable solution when we live in a UTC+1 area...
I hope that WotC will resolve this bug without any condescendant answer as the Wizards_MS14#29616's one...
I'm getting exactly the same issue on PC, Linux and Android. The only way I can play is using the UTC time work around. I can't earn decks as a new player and haven't received any of the new decks that were supposed to come with the update. Is there a fix in sight?
I have tried the following:
1 - Updated my GPU drivers.
2 - Updated Visual C++ Libraries.
3 - Flushed DNS.
4 - Uninstalled the game using Revo uninstaller to remove any left over files as advised by technical support. I then installed the game again, issue persists.
Please resolve this issue.
I’m on iPad and am getting this same black screen. Can confirm that changing the time zone to UTC fixes it!
I have to switch timezone to UTC from my normal one (UTC +1) to not have black screen. Please, fix this...

same issue, MTGA loads a bit first but when it's supposed to show main hub there is only black screen with cursor. Pretty sure it's account related because mine was just fine until I logged into my friends account who was having the problem. Now I have it too and I can't even log out. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Nope same black screen

I updated my GPU driver (471.68) and reinstalled the game.
Same here I have been playing for about a month now and after the update on 24/08/21 I get a black screen after loading the game on my Samsung s9
Tips Change UTC zone +0 works for me too .
Same for me as for latest update, I can log in but only hear the music and see the cursor
