Need better support for lands
Wizards sells land art for gems (i.e. cash). Yet there are active and significant annoyances when trying to use those lands. By default, the latest lands are put into a deck. Which means while newly-purchased lands are put into decks by default, that changes with the release of each new expansion. Given most limited decks are 2-3 colors, this involves a lot of annoying scrolling, finding the right color 1, removing the old lands, adding the desired lands, and repeating for the 2-3 colors in most decks.
Here are a couple of specific ideas for how this could be improved:
1) Allow certain basic land art to be 'hidden'. I have enough special lands that I'd hide all the standard common lands. They're noise, and it's pretty silly I have pages of art I have to scroll through that I don't care about. This problem keeps getting worse over time.
It is powerful and cool for me to instead have a very short list of very cool lands, instead of a long list of trash with a few gems hidden randomly throughout.
2) Allow certain basic land art to be 'favorited'. This could be implemented as only one land of each color, or as any number. The favorited land would be the default added to decks. Or if multiples of a color were favorited, one type at random would be added for that deck.
I assume Wizards a) wants to encourage people to monetize by spending their gems/gold on lands, and b) wants players to feel like their investments are useful and respected by Wizards. Currently my premium land purchases do not feel this way, and it's frustrating enough that it has deterred other land purchases on my behalf and it motivated me to come here and write this..
