For what it's worth....
No offense folks but you’ve got a buggy online game here. It’s pretty frustrating sometimes TBH. I’ve sent in some logs and reports but nothing really changes from this one person’s perspective, and it’s been going on for as long as I’ve been playing MTGA. Understood you’ve got enough work to do for the next ten years, but seriously … here’s a partial list:
Often when the game starts the screen is black and can’t see cards once played. I’ve followed instructions I’ve found online and on Reddit, but no help. Forced to concede the game right off the start.
The SUPER LONG LAG time between clicking on a button and it registering is abysmal and will cause the wrong buttons to be clicked. For example, click pass to attackers, wait more than 2 seconds, then you click again (because you thought it didn’t register)… but ahhhh… it did register, and it moves you to attackers just as you click it for the second time passing you to the end of your turn. Pretty frustrating when it’s the winning move of the game it causes you to lose entirely due to a glitch. I’ve tried tweaking the graphics which I assume causes the biggest performance hit… I check my ISP speed… all ok.
So based on my experience on MTGA, I’m fairly convinced that MTG attracts FAR more than its fair share of people who don’t know how to lose gracefully, based on the fact that when faced with a “checkmate” type situation, too many folks won’t allow the game to continue, and will not concede . Not sure if 1 – they are living in a world where “if they don’t see it happen it didn’t” (their own reality), or 2 – just so much anger, spite, and self-loathing that they are compelled to do “the wrath of Kahn” pretty much every time they lose, or 3- they hope their opponents are impatient and unwilling to wait through EVERY TIMER to win, and just concede.
Appreciate all your hard work getting this game to where it is online, but it’s sometimes seriously not worth the above frustration.
