Mind Flayer didn't lose ability with Minimus Containment
Dropped a Minimus Containment on a Mind Flayer my opponent had. Even though it lost all other abilities (and stopped being a creature), I didn't get my stolen creature back.
I lost a draft game because of this. I would like some kind of reimbursement.

Just to clarify for anyone looking for this ruling, there is some confusion here. Minimus Does not make the Mind Flayer stop existing. Its name does not change, the card entity is still in fact, Mind Flayer, except it is now an Artifact - Treasure. It has no ability, but its not a *Static* ability, its an ETB trigger with conditions that the card still exists. To get your creature back either destroy, exile or take control of it.

I've experienced the same issue with and lost a game thanks to it. Not sure if its the Mind Flayer itslef or its ability, Dominate Monster.
Minimus Containment description-Enchant nonland permanent
"Enchanted permanent is a Treasure artifact with “{T}, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color,” and it loses all other abilities. (If it was a creature, it’s no longer a creature.)
The Mind Flayer no longer has Dominate Monster and is no longer a creature. "This should invalidate the Dominate Monster effect and therefor whatever was hit is returned to its original owner.

Same issue cost me a ranked game.

Had the same issue. If the ability is gone then there is nothing to maintain control of the creature.
Re:Lohoris#85001 - Dont understand how that ability working like that is intentional, is it saying it needs the ability to resolve both sides of the effect? If thats the case then flickering Mind Flayer should allow you to control multiple creatures, which makes no sense.

I'm afraid that's intentional: https://scryfall.com/card/afr/63/mind-flayer
"If Mind Flayer leaves the battlefield or you lose control of it before its Dominate Monster ability resolves, control of the target creature doesn't change at all."
