The only reason I play MTG Arena is to play brawl with my friends. Direct challenge does not let me use the brawl decks I play on the ladder with those friends. Super frustrating

Checking in 13 months later and this feature is still broken. How can arena be the future of magic when it's so poorly put together

Can’t play brawl or historic with friends, for over 7 months now. It’s ubsurd. Playing with friends constantly is buggy and broken just with standard. Please fix this!!!!

Please fix this. As paying players that enjoy a few different formats, my friends and I are missing out on a lot of what we hoped would be delivered on Arena.

Still doesn't work. An entire format is unable to be played directly with friends due to WOTC's incompetence. They really aren't hiding the fact that they hate the community and all social aspects of their game. Just pay to grind and shut up. That's what they want.

This seems be broken all the time. Being able to play brawl with friends is most of the reason I play on arena. It's absurd that the client can't handle such a critical part of the game. It was my understanding that playing MtG with friends around a table is one of the core gameplay experiences the team designs around.

I actually have quit MTG Arena because Friendly Brawl is broken, but check back here every few weeks to see if that's changed... guess I shouldn't be surprised it hasn't.

I 100% used to play Brawl against friends with Direct Challenge last year.

Kind of at a loss to explain why they would remove that option? Now when I go to Direct Challenge I only see Friendly Brawl, 40 Card, 60 Card and 60 Card Rebalanced.

Any idea if/when they will allow us to play Brawl with friends again? Pretty ridiculous and lame that that option has been removed. Enough so it would make me stop playing the game altogether (and stop buying packs too, hint hint Wizards.)

I would like to point out now that even direct challenge seems to not be working anymore.

A game with such potential but so poorly designed and programmed...

Hoping to a see a fix soon or I'll just uninstall as this is frustrating.

Same **** different day, comments on here date all the way back to August regarding the same bug.

This is a huge problem. It basically makes friendly brawl challenges impossible.

This continues to be an issue - steps to reproduce:
1. Select challenge --> challenge match --> Deck Type: Friendly Brawl --> partner accepts
2. Expected behavior: Friendly Brawl challenge match request --> partner accept --> Deck Select --> match begins
3. Actual behavior --> 1) partner gets "60-card" match invite 2) properly formatted and valid historicbrawl deck fails validation check 3) game becomes unplayable, can't cancel match

Error behavior suggests that the error is in the match identification code, and the deck validation check is probably pointing to standard, not historic.

BROKEN. hasnt worked in WEEKS. haven't been be able to play casual brawl. error everytime. invalid deck. gives my friend a 60 card deck choice when it supposed to be brawl. PLEASE FIX.
