Unable to log in: Attach failed to drop other attach
I am unable to log in on both desktop and mobile. Whenever I try, I get "Unable to log in: Authentication failed for Let'sGetKraken: Attach failed to drop other attach". This has persisted for about 20 minutes now.
any update? this is very bad I have the same issue and can't find a solution, tried everything

Confirming that reinstalling the app on my phone did indeed work and I'm no longer trapped in the Asset Error Detected loop.
I suspect, once the updates were redelivered (and perhaps something adjusted internally for the account?), things began to work as expected.
So perhaps in most cases the appear fix is waiting for (or finding a way to force/reinstall) a new update. Not the greatest answer, but hopefully the changing events from week to week will make updates trigger fairly often. (Not that frequent updates are great, but they seem to be a potential solution to this issue.)

After waiting a couple of days, I attempted logging in via the PC again. Arena began another update (about 3GB) and afterwards worked ok (although the display of the band was glitched, displaying cards over top of one another at the wrong time... but hey, it was a big set of bans and needs).
Now, though, when I try to run via my android phone, I get stuck in an "Asset Error Detected" loop.
I'm hoping a reinstallation might help. In any case, it seems that these errors might sometimes become fixed when the device needs to update the game. From a few other posts I've seen, ensuring a stable connection for downloading updates might help - but I haven't tested this.

I have the same issue. Arena was working fine on PC (Windows 10) and Mobile (Realme 8 Android) until the most recent update (28-29 Jan 2022 AEDT, presumably for Alchemy fixes, card bans and Double Feature).
The update downloaded and installed on my phone, then when the game had almost loaded, it gave an asset error.
"Asset error detected. Arena will relaunch to verify asset contents."
Then the login errors began - "Unable to login. Authentication failed" and either "attach failed to drop other attach" or "timeout" messages. On restarting, the app downloaded updates again and the same problem occurred.
Reconnecting, logging out and in, and restarting the app all result in one of these three messages (asset error, attach failed or timeout).
I attempted running the update on a PC, and after installation the same error messages appeared.
I've tried different devices, restarting the phone, clearing the app's cache, restarting the router... No luck so far. (I also attempted to change the graphics settings, as per some suggestions, but this didn't seem to be available from the login screen's settings - only Gameplay, language and Audio options.)
As this error persists across different devices, it sounds like an account or server issue. I'm glad I can still log into my Wizards account here.
Really hoping there's a universal solution - this problem seems to have been plaguing a range of Arena users for ages.

I'm seeing the same thing -- on both mobile and pc.
Same problem here. DNS flush did nothing. I guess I won't be able to complete my daily quests today. Hopefully we'll get some compensation.
changing graphics quality from low to medium also resolved this issue for me. very bizarre!
Tried dns flush fix but no dice. Full reinstall and online pwd reset, still not working. Looks like server end to me.

Same here...I was able to log in and get the update, but then exited and started having this error when trying to get back on.
Ok, I flushed the DNS per these instructions:
(note, you need to start cmd.exe as administrator for these instructions to work)
Then I rebooted my PC.

For anyone still having this issue, I simply went into the options top right and changed my graphics from custom to medium, dunno why it worked, dunno if it'll work for you but hey, give it a try.
