Autotapper should not prioritize creature-lands over treasure tokens
I just lost a game that by all accounts I should have won. On my side of the battlefield, I had two unequipped Goblin Morningstars, seven basic lands plus Hive of the Eye Tyrant, and two treasure tokens. On my opponent's battlefield, he had nothing but basic lands. We're both at three life, and it's my turn to untap.
I power up the Eye Tyrant, and decide to be funny and equip both Morningstars to it. I don't need to do this, I already have lethal with just the Eye Tyrant, but with the lands and the treasures combined I have enough mana to do it and I think, why not?
I equip the first mace to the Tyrant and everything's fine. I equip the second mace, and it immediately ends the turn because whoops, the autotapper tapped the Eye Tyrant for mana in order to equip the mace to it and thus I have no valid creatures to attack with.
Neither of my treasure tokens were even touched by the autotapper. It didn't give me the option to use treasure, it didn't even bring up the possibility that oh, hey, he has lethal if he uses treasure, he passes the turn if he doesn't use the treasure, maybe we should ask him if he wants to use treasure?
Opponent doesn't let the punt pass, and kills me immediately with a haste creature on the very next turn.
This shouldn't have happened. If this played out on a table with actual cardboard, this would never have happened. W h y ? ? ?
