Algorithm Improvement
I'm sure you're getting a lot of complaints about how one-sided your algorithm is not being impartial and often times screwing over players with land draws that should not be happening in a purely random sample - so my complaint can be added to that pile.
But, an idea for changing the algorithm to improve randomization would be having the program assign a number to each card remaining in a deck and pile shuffling the cards into X amount of piles (let's say 6). It can repeat this process Y amount of times then take the middle of the pile and put those cards on top. A better template would be from the card shuffler for poker sets from stores.

and not only that, they'd pair you with mostly aggro decks.
Just now, I queued for Historic brawl, 8 straight games I'm always going second and I'm using Chulane. It's not even funny anymore. -

Match making is unreal, for exemple i made a "destroy land" deck and matchmaking only put me vs decks who can ramp and put lands in game, its pathetic never go vs random decks, is always vs decks that counter mine. same if i make a control deck only get aggro decks that kill me in 3 turns, experience of game is bad like this. don't ignore this, this is very important and 100% of players, agree with that.

Your system is still automatically pairing draft players with the most similar draft decks. I won't tolerate it, and I am simply conceding the game automatically when I see multiple rares in common. This happens every draft. It is not random, it is not realistic, and it eliminates the one thing that makes drafting fun (variety). All this because I complained about a card that was being abused back when bot drafts were still used. Please address this.

Seriosly? I play first in at most one in 10 games!!
Why do you have a best-of-one format and not have it be more fair? -

Oh don't worry, they fixed it. Now it's 100% based on the cards you use regardless of the quality of your deck and ask they do is pair you with the exact counter to your deck.

As of the recent patches I agree. My decks that easily were getting me to mythic suddenly can't win. For the last month my average wins have been 2 out of 10 if I'm lucky.
And it's not too do with the new set either as 90% of matches people aren't using new cards.
I'm either getting the worst pulls imaginable, screwed on mana completely, or I keep getting paired magically with the exact type of deck that can beat mine.
Even down in silver this was happening, SILVER. You know the rank where the literal starter decks they give you can get you to gold.
I just got done played 8 matches and lost every single one with a deck that has previously got me to mythic months upon months.
It makes zero sense.

I guess purchasing a mastery pass increases your "luck".

Is it really necessary that every opponent I get paired against in premier draft has seemingly come from a pod where they were able to walk away with an absolutely obscene deck? I like competitive play as much as the next guy, but in 12 hours of gameplay it isn't normal to consistently face opponents with 3-4 duplicate cards (of the best cards in limited, not some junk) or regular streaks of 4+ opponents (in a row) with the exact same insane mythic... I'm not normally one for complaining (and I have been playing paper magic competitively for many years now), but there is something seriously wrong with your premier draft pairing algorithm... (I only say this because obviously unlike constructed where you bring what you want to the table, in limited I do not expect to see what I've been seeing consistently... ) I don't know how long the log keeps track of, but as of 3/7/2022, if you look back over the last 12 hours of my gameplay you will see what I mean...

Hey Wizards can you at least add a coinflip to pretend it is random. You must be well aware it's not.

I know there is a ton and ton of complain about the shuffle algorithm, and I'm here to complain too...
I don't know the **** why sometime, I don't even pick any terrain from the whole game, then the next game I pick like twenty terrains without any other card to play.. I don't even exagerate, for true.
I try to equalize my deck to have terrain enough (not to much, or not to low) but the problem is beyond my control... Wizard, do something, please, it's an emergency before we're all getting mad ! -

Game is completely rigged..
It's not just handsmoothing, it's the whole game. Every single match just feels staged.
From matchups to land ratios to draws in general, it's easily noticeable that it's all rigged. As an experienced player it just makes me really, really sad. If you insist on manipulating every single game, then at least improve your algorithm so I won't notice.

I have been tracking the matches on Standard Event and it is statistically impossible that I get matched with so many experienced players with advanced decks. The cards they own are impossible to get. Your matching algorithm is absolutely flawed and the most disappointing part of the MTGA is that the whole concept of the game is pay-to-win based! You can only get powerful cards and participate in the events if you pay for cards.
As a game designer, you fail when your players feels that cannot progress in the game because you want them to pay you. It's bad design principles and extremely unfair treatment of the players. -

Since you have avoided any discussion about hand smoothing, I am going to be pushy, I want compensation for being forced to use a modification that does not work, actually does the opposite of what it's supposed to do. I do not need it nor do I want to use it. It gives an advantage to mono colored decks and since it's implementation it has made the issues it is supposed to solve worse. I have been tracking your shuffler since I started playing, before hand smoothing mana *****/flood happened about 3 in 10 games, now it happens almost guaranteed 1 in 3 games and way too often it happens several games in a row. It does not do it's job and is an exploitable advantage for mono colored decks ( surely you guys have noticed the huge influx of mono colored decks from the pro level to amateur ) , It creates an unbalanced system and needs to be fixed. If it is truly for new players then keep it in casual but remove it from ranked and event games. If a new player can not accept that sometimes bad draws happen then being honest they will not stay with the game regardless of an exploit or not and hand smoothing is just a slap in the face to the players who made you what you are now. I used to spend quite a bit on MTG products but these days I just can't bring myself to pay for any products. I went from about a thousand a month to zero because I really don't see any future for MTG , especially in the tabletop field as I have seen many new players come out to FNM and realize that they don't do as well without hand smoothing and they are never seen again. Killing off one aspect of your business to feed another just is not good business sense and as such it has made a few of us veteran players gun shy about making purchases.

Stop looking for counters against a deck i made.
Make a mill deck, well all your opponents now have 200+ cards in their deck.Ulgamon deck, welp you guessed it, all my opponents also have the same deck.
Also your shuffler is a joke.I will stop buying your ****
