MTG Arena hangs when trying to exit game (only happens when run from Epic Games launcher)

MTG Arena shouldn't hang when I'm done playing! Has been happening constantly since updating the Epic game launcher last week. When running MTGA.exe directly from the install location, the issue doesn't occur, so it seems to be related to the EGS launcher.
NOTE: other games launched from EGS do not have any such issue...

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 5600, 32GB RAM, NVidia 3060ti

    I've switched to Steam. Epic is light-years behind. Sweeney wanted a war with Steam but he lacks on every field and burns money. Ditch him!

    I doubt that this kind of issue can be solved there.
    Anybody got so far an fix of this ?

    Might somehow be a problem of Epic .. rather the die MTG Client itself.

    Happening for me with the Epic Store version of the game. System specs are:
    Windows 10 21H2
    GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
    AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
    16GB RAM

    Game is installed on my boot drive, a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro. Also tried on a mass storage SSD, was happening there as well.

    Happening on any machine I install the game on, regardless of spec.

    The same problem after every game. This is quite annoying by now and happens after every close only at MTG Arena. Please for an urgent solution!

    Same here. When clicking 'exit game', it asks "would you like to exit and close the game?". When hovering over the Cancel and OK buttons, they are grey (as expected). I click OK, and it stays gray. And that's it. I have to alt-tab to windows, go into the task manager, find the MTGA.exe process (which has status "not responding") and kill it. Then the EPIC launcher comes to life again. Windows 10 Home 64 bit 21H2, i7 4790K, 32 GB, AMD Radeon R9 Fury, Windows resolution 2560x1080, resolution in MTGA 1920x1080. Using ESET antivirus.

    This combined with default logins being saved on exit (or not, as it's crashing) is making the epic version of the game unusable - very irritating, please fix it.
