Product Suggestion Leave Historic Alone
With the new Alchemy format, can we please have it separated from Historic? You are going to be nerfing cards considering the standard environment, please leave them alone for Historic decks.

Historic needs the ability to play both the standard paper version or the alchemy version. Historic is suppose to be the digital card sets as a whole. Why limit historic players the ability to play cards they been enjoying for a while now? Digital cards are a fun addition to historic however altered paper alchemy cards makes it worse, dramatically effects the economy with entire meta decks needing retooled after wildcards were used to create it. This is Alienating a huge amount of mtga players. I hope you use our feedback to improve your business decision.

So probably been said but my take is. Due to last wave of digital nerf this summer i wont craft wild cards in alchemy. I will not be buying digital cards that are not paper. I play every format in paper with friends and at the lgs. I suggest moving all the digital cards in to alchemy historic and have regular historic that matches the real cards. Just like you did for standard. The summer digital batch definitely showed me because it was altered that this will happen to these new ones also. So,I will craft my digital wilfs only in standard and a real card. But a very bad taste when you waste time and wilds on cards digital only just subject to nerf pile. Two other things promo codes in packs please and bring a pioneer remastered for us give it some life on arena. Support your products

It's the only eternal format we have in Arena. Please, don't mess with it.

You wanna make some crappy new online only format? Sure go ahead. But leave the other formats alone. You are pushing your custumors off the platform and back to paper. You changing pre existing cards and forcing other formats to use those is unacceptable.
I told my friends i would never play arena unless they added commander.. Historic brawl is as close as im going to get since commander is basically wizards unwanted red headed step child. Now i dont even want to play because they have ruined the format and the game. Seems sticking to paper is probably for the best.

ABSOLUTELY THIS
I came to leave this feedback and good that I found this so that I can compound into the feeling a lot of us has.
I'm fine with new things being tried out in, but it really doesn't make sense that you left Standard alone and Historic got impacted by Alchemy like this. I lost a bunch of decks (plus the will to create more) due to the nerfing of some cards. Then not even wildcards to compensate? if there would be a parallel Alchemy Historic I would understand. But as it is, it was a very hurtful move Wizards :(

Thanks for destroying Arena, WotC. You're not getting a single cent from me ever again and I regret every cent I spent on this product. Your product has become the pinnacle of consumer unfriendly, doubling down on every possible predatory sale tactics and changes that hurt fun. You should be ashamed of it.

I hate the recent changes to the historic format. I want a non rotating format on Mtg arena, I do not want digital only cards and rebalanced cards. Leave these things for Alchemy only where players can opt in if desired. Leave historic alone! Currently i’m still drafting and playing some standard but I have long intended to move into historic as well. Now my entire option of Arena has soured. There is no good reason for this. If you want to pervert historic in this way then give us a real eternal format like Pioneer to replace it, PLEASE!

The day I finally get to build my historic deck y’all mess up the system and make it not MTG. Hasbro needs to stay in the action figure lane and out of other products they have no clue aboot. Going to have to stop spending thousands on Transformers now just because their business model leaves a bad taste.

Day 4 of not playing Arena.

Until I have a proper paper non-rotating format, I will not be returning to Arena. I don’t play eternal formats because I want “fresh new metas”, I play eternal formats so my decks remain functional for a long time.
If Wizards deems my reserved deck building habits unprofitable and undesirable, then we can just stop doing business entirely. I literally installed Legends of Runeterra today. TCG players all over say their game economy actually respects players time and money, so I’ll give them my business instead, at least until the Hasbro fat cats can cool their blatant greed.

I have been playing Magic for a long time, and enjoy playing formats that allow the use of older cards, such as Legacy. Therefore, Historic is my favorite way to play Magic Arena, because it is the closest thing to playing an eternal format of paper Magic in a convenient and polished digital form.
However, I will no longer play it, due to the inclusion of the changes brought about by Alchemy in Historic. The Historic format now includes many non-paper cards with designs that work only in a digital format. Additionally, Historic also includes digital versions of existing cards that have been changed from their paper counterparts. There is no good reason for implementing such changes on a fun and healthy format like Historic.
Since I will stop playing Historic, it means that I will stop playing Magic Arena entirely. I do not want to play Standard, nor do I want to play Alchemy. The only way that I will play Magic Arena again is if Alchemy stops affecting Historic, or if a paper format using older cards is introduced, such as Pioneer. I am sure the Magic Arena team will still find success with Alchemy, despite the recent decisions that end up alienating many members of the older player base, such as myself. We are the ones who have jobs and disposable income, but I suppose that doesn't matter.

Yeah I was thinking about going all digital until this last update, now I will go back to spending the money on actual physical cards or other games that are not MTG. Historic has been in whatever name you want to call it the best version of magic. The Alchemy being shoved in and forced changes to cards in historic is not right for this format or wanted. Until my cards are given back in original form and usable in historic I will not be spending any money on the digital form of MTG. What you should have done was start making older sets available online and that's where the money will be. I mean you have like over 50 sets.

Leave Historic Alone! You can add Alchemy but we need a regular enteral format not this garbage you are pushing on us! Alchemy should be optional for those that want it! We want our entenal format left alone!

I've been playing Magic for 23 years, and Arena since the Beta. I drop ~$100 a set. I love Arena, and for the most part have not had any issues with the decisions so far... until now.
I don't like the idea of Alchemy (though I get why its a cool thing to try) but that's fine, I can simply ignore it. What I can't ignore is the effects Alchemy has on Historic. I fail to see any reason why cards that are too powerful in Standard need to be nerfed in Historic. It makes literally 0 sense to me. I really, really liked Historic before this change and even the digital-only cards from Jumpstart even though I was apprehensive at first. But this is too far, and with a weeks notice before the changes happened too.
And what about new players? This is already probably one of the most complex games in history... why confuse players even more when their cards do one thing in one format and another thing in another?
Please please PLEASE revert these changes for Historic at the minimum.

Yes, this is a real problem! Arena absolutely need an eternal format with no digital cards. The first historic was very good, the new historic is horrible. Without a non-digital eternal format I don't think I'll want to play for much longer.

Historic is my favorite format. Or WAS.
I have been playing since '93, and historic is as close as I can come to my old decks. Even then WotC meddled, changing definitions for how trample or banding worked. But you did not rewrite the text on the cards themselves.
We earn these cards through our money or our time. Changing them without reparation is WRONG. Shoving a change of this magnitude onto all the historic players is WRONG. And trying to convince us that 2 cards with the same name and art, but different abilities, are really the same card is DECEPTIVE. We are neither blind nor stupid.
Until this problem is resolved, and as long as alchemy is inflicted upon us long-time loyal players, I can see no earthly reason to buy anything, craft anything, or play anything on your platform. So I won't.

I spent all my wildcards and finally jumped into historic after a year of being on arena and was loving the format literally days before the alchemy announcement... ouch.
I love paper magic and do not want anything to do with the digital card mechanics. Listen to your community and leave historic free from alchemy.
