I love Arena, great product. It lets us play Magic while not being able to go out and play physical tournaments or anything.

There are a few things I keep running into however, most important of which is the amount of gold you can make.

I'm a F2P player (I've purchased gems on rare occassions) as I have a mortgage and 4 kids. As you can't buy gold in the store we, as a player, are limited to the daily quests, daily rewards and Events to earn gold.

I like to draft, but Premier Drafts cost 10000 gold which you would roughly earn in 2 weeks (assuming your daily Quests don't all reward you with 750 but 500 gold) in combination with your daily rewards that total up to 450 gold after the first 4 wins. This means I can draft once every 1,5 / 2 weeks while not being able to do anything else, and, if I happen to be knocked out quickly, the fun in the game quickly dies if you have to wait another 1,5 weeks for the next (rinse, repeat).

Aside from this there are also the unique events (Arena Open or special drafts, like last year the Kaladesh and Ravnica Drafts). I have never been able to enter the Arena Open (25k gold costs me about a month, if not longer, to collect) and was fortunate enough to have saved 30k on gold before the Ravnica Drafts came online, but that means I can't do anything else but playing some daily games in order to save up gold.

The Standard and Historic events queues are fine, but for a maximum profit of 500 gold and having to play 7 games at least is not a great deal. More often than not you will get to 4-5, maybe 6 wins and if you're farming gold, you would have to re-enter the Event many, many times to earn some amount of gold that's interesting.
Let's say you have 500 gold to start with, it would take you 19 7 game winning streaks to get to 10000 gold.

Bottomline, you need more ways to either enter drafts/sealed or there need to be more ways to earn gold.
