My "Cunning Nightbonder" even affects the ability of my opponent's card with flash. The opponent cast "The Wandering Emperor" for 3 mana.
Lost my match in the Traditional Explorer Event because my negate couldn't tag my mono-R opponent's Embercleave.
This situation occurred with me, today! Exactly with an opponent wandering emperor. I can't counter their spell, when my cunning was on the battlefield. I get so surprised, I lost the match ;/
Hey, I had the same issue happen. Can you fix this? It's happened to me twice now, and I've lost BOTH games because of it.
Similar situation occurred to me just now. I was playing esper flash and my opponent bant flash. I had a cunning nightbonder out and he flashed in Nightpack Ambusher on my combat phase. I tried to Drown in the Loch the Ambusher but it had the typical red ring that appears around an uncounterable spell and when trying to target the spell on the stack I received a warning typical of when you target your own spell/permanent, a permanent with ward, or a spell that is uncounterable.
To replicate, have one player with a Cunning Nightbonder out and a counterspell in hand and the other player cast a creature with flash
