How am I supposed to transition to ranked with a 30% chance game crashes and I loose 1-2 turns?
Explain how I’m supposed to play ranked matches when my 5G(which is never a weak signal) still suffers from ur app alone crashing mid match when WiFi strength isn’t even a factor as mine is never on WiFi when I play just in case it is a weak signal so it’s a precaution I take to avoid crashes. Yet still more time than I recall the game crashes and by the time it checks for active matches(10-15 secs) and awaits opponent(see below for easily 20+ sec wait time) not only did my current turn get canceled midway thru, but my opponent has taken 1 or 2 extra turns while I sit there with no one at the helm skipping my turns until finally I get back in the game just in time to see that opponent is 2 turns ahead. When it crashed my opponents had one creature. It was turn 1, when I return he has 3 creatures and the 1 cost was his play on turn 1! That’s if I’m even able to get back. Some crashes revert me to the title screen and I assume I take the loss in the match ur App kicked me out of!!! The only fair thing to do if this is abomination of a process is the way u intent to keep the game running is to suspend the 2 timeouts in a row and u auto loose mechanism when a player is kicked. Just an icon or message informing the opposing player that his opponent had been disconnected. Timeouts can still progress but the endgame should be if 4 timeouts in a row occur b4 player returns then the opponent still connected can choose to allow more time for player to reconnect or opt to call the match a wash. How do y’all not realize that players can’t reconnect within the time allotted by 2 timeouts! It’s not like it’s a photo finish as u can see below I waited on opponent in the ready screen when reconnecting for 40secs! That’s too long to keep me waiting while my timeout counter runs A SINGLE time b4 fastpassing my entire turn and letting them get their next turn completed b4 I even return to the match. It’s beyond me how y’all developed anything remotely enjoyable but are that blind to how this makes magic into a GD CRAPSHOOT. It’s supposed to be strategy based not luck. I feel like I’m owed quite a number of gems bc I took countless losses I should have won during event play since I started playing! Plus my first play was one of the new broker lands that sacrifices when played and allows u to choose from the 3 lands. It brought up my lands I chose forest and it crashes. So where is the **** forest land!? It didn’t even give me that which squanders my first turn as the cherry on top. All I got was the gain 1 life while he got to put out 2 more creatures in my absence. This is unreasonable to ask people to play like this. I’ve probably lost 1000 gems due to the developers obliviousness on how to navigate a player being dropped from a match! The worst that should come of it is the match is called a wash and nobody take a win nor a loss! Now if I’m still connected and trying to cheat then yeah auto concede after 2 timeouts, but the game should be able to tell if and when I’m not connected to the match and should never hand the match to the person it decides to let stay connected while robbing the player it boots!
Again this should be left to the waiting player so if they like what they’ve been doing they can opt to allow more time for the player to return after a REASONABLE match suspension countdown that will give the player kicked enough time to reconnect. During this standby countdown the timeout gauge can freeze wherever it was when they were kicked. Once the kicked player’s match suspension countdown is up, the player still connected can opt to allow the opponent more time to reconnect since they will know their opponent has been kicked due to the shift from timeout countdown to suspension countdown, and know they have yet to reconnect bc the game will still be paused. Once the player reconnects the timeout countdown can pursue indicating that the player is back and they still have the same amount of time remaining to finish their turn they were in the middle of when booted. If the timeout counter expires twice, or once(if the player was kicked after a first timeout had been taken) then force them to concede. If the player that wasn’t kicked doesn’t like his chances then let them opt to call a draw and no losses go towards anyone’s elimination, nor do they gain any further wins that count towards what price tier they reach. If I was winning a match and was suddenly kicked only to return and find that the match had been called a draw I’d be fine with that. Frustrated sure, but wouldn’t feel like I just had potential gems stolen from my account that I could have won if an overwhelming advantage wasn’t just spoon fed to my opponent. And u want people to play this in hopes of gaining entry into a championship while u continue to steal matches away from them? Not likely. I’ll be expecting my 1000 gems refunded to my account and another 1000 gifted to every player wouldn’t be a terrible idea as I’m certain every player has suffered this very same thing more times than they can count on one hand.
