Stuck on loading card database
this started when I aborted the newest update (Alchemy changes, etc) because I had to leave suddenly. The next time I attempted to play the game is when this started. I cannot get into the game at all in order to create a log. I did set it to keep detailed logs at one point but that setting seems to have been undone at some point. I hope that helps. I did include this information on my post to the bug and feedback site. Again, other Mac users have reported a similar stuck on “uploading card database“ issue in recent weeks in relation to the previous update so I hope someone can bring this to the attention of the tech people.

Tech support gave me this solution, and it ended up working (October 2022):
-Uninstall Magic Arena (use a third party uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller to make sure all files associated with Arena are removed from your system)
-Download the latest .msi file by following this link:
https://mtgarena.downloads.wizards.com/Live/Windows64/versions/4277.956000/MTGAInstaller_0.1.4277.956000.msi
-Either double click this file or execute the following from the command prompt: MTGAInstaller_0.1.4277.956000.msi
-Follow the Setup Wizard prompts.After this point, I had to run the latest MTGA Installer that you find here: https://magic.wizards.com/en/mtgarena. After installing this time, the issue was (finally) resolved for me. Hope it works for some of you!
