network error - unable to get collection
Can't get in to the main user interface. Can't attach a log when no access to the main menu.
Error displayed: Network error - unable to get collection.
The client asks either to reconnect, log off or check Arena status server (all operational).
Restarted my PC, restarted my internet modem+router. Still same error.
I logged in earlier 6 hours ago, no such problem.

Unable to play entire day. After open MTGA launcher i got loading, then "waiting for server" and after it different info, mostly: "Network Error. Unable to get collection. Please try again later." Tried many times, first time 7 hours ago

Just to update. The issue has disappeared and haven't experienced it in the past days . I hope it is fixed for good now. Again for anyone else facing this issue I would recommend VPN and connect to USA, which was what worked for me.

Yep this issue is back and I can confirm that it is a specific ISP issue that is popular in S. Europe. I don't think there is anything we can do other than change ISP.
Using a VPN and changing your country works too. It's sad that you can't play MTGA in that ISP that is popular in the region. I have no issues with any other online game, MTGO included.
If you are in southern Europe and facing this issue you should try another ISP and a VPN and if the issue is resolved you are facing the same thing. It's an ISP issue.

I experienced this now for the first time. Two possibly relevant observations:
- I am visiting Italy now, this didn't happen in other countries. Hence the "S. Europe" thing mentioned below might be indeed a pattern.
- This happens when I'm connected to one particular ISP. When I used another (mobile) internet provider, the problem did not seem to occur (yet). -

Hello everyone. I have been having the same issue for the past month now, which made me completely unable to enjoy WOE so far.
I have tried everything in the troubleshooting and the only thing that works is using a VPN to connect to USA.
If you are in southern Europe, this will most likely work for you too.From discussing this topic with others in the reddit forums I came to the suspicion that this is a failure of how specific ISPs from S. Europe connect to the server. So this is potentially not a client bug, but a server side issue.
I highly recommend to everyone to try a USA based VPN as a solution. There are some free ones available that you can use for MTGA, or at least try it and confirm it fixes the issue. Obviously it is pretty unacceptable to be unable to play the game unless you use a VPN in Europe. Also just to clarify this issue seems to happen for specific timeframes during the day.
I really wish we would get some updates by WOTC on this issue officially. I have been having this issue on and off for the past year. It has never been too bad for the most part because it happens for 1 day every 3 months usually, but right now it has been happening for almost a month straight. Similar thing happened a year ago as well, when I could not connect to the server for 1 month and then suddenly it was fixed.
Please if someone at WOTC reads this, kindly update us on this. It would be nice to know you are aware of this and are working towards a fix.

This thing has been going on for MONTHS. There's no way you have to pray that you're lucky enough to get into the game. I have tried EVERYTHING to fix the problem but it doesn't work.
During this mess Wilds of Eldraine also came out. People have pre-ordered and invested in something that doesn't work. Yesterday's maintenance did nothing AT ALL!
Either because of the server, or because of the collection, you can't play. This thing is shameful.

The same thing has been happening to me constantly for the last 24 hours. I have tried all the same steps even to the point of reinstalling the app. Occasionally I will be able to get the game to load and play 1+ games, but invariably after a game, I will get the “waiting for server” message and it will stall out. It is extremely frustrating as there is no rhyme or reason for it, as far as I can tell.
