True separation of Alchemy from Historic
Numerous MTG Arena players have spent time and hard earned money to create Standard and Historic decks just to see them be horribly degraded by all the broken cards and mechanics of Alchemy. Standard has the ability to que normally or with Alchemy cards. Historic supposedly does too based on the Arena user interface, but it does not work correctly and has not been brought up in any prior Wizards bug/patch discussion to be properly investigated and resolved. Selecting Historic means the player is entering a game of Historic-Alchemy, wherein all Alchemy cards are allowed to be used, not just rebalanced cards but also ones with Alchemy only mechanics such as: Perpetual, Conjure, Intensity. In many cases these cards are overpowered, and have a tendency to skew the gameplay drastically in favor of the player using them. If a player enters a Historic game intending not to face these cards, they should have the capability to do so, else the core fun factor of the game quickly dissolves. Players should have the choice to play Historic with or without Alchemy cards included in the format. This is a very critical issue that many players, myself included, have been dealing with for some time now, and this issue needs to be resolved accordingly! I'm not saying Alchemy cards need to go away, as that would further alienate some players from their collections/gameplay opportunities. However, I am saying not to continue alienating your core followers, who came here from paper magic that want to reestablish the Historic format the way it was originally intended.
Create a true separation of Alchemy from Historic! I will not spend another dime on this product until there's actual separation where I can que into a game of Historic that does not include the usage of Alchemy cards. Wizards, how can you even begin to justify these as two different game modes (one as Alchemy and one as Historic), and then completely ignore the differences in your game code to allow players to use any and all Alchemy cards within the Historic game mode, ranked or otherwise? Separate the game modes as you have expressively intended from the beginning or risk losing your whale, og Magic customers. The choice is yours; I hope you choose correctly.
