Continual Campaign/Story Mode for Each New Set
MTGA needs a campaign/story mode to supplement the other types of events (which are all largely 1v1 PvP). The only thing close to this currently is the outdated bot challenge, which is old and far too easy to be interesting.
In previous MTG video games, you used to play through a sequence of challenges for each plane (for example MTG 2015 the video game). This is the same concept, but MTGA would provide 5 new story mode challenges for each new set. That adds a ton of replay-ability as well as incentive for players to attempt the Story Mode with new cards/decks!
For example, with Phyrexia All Will Be One there would be a "Story Mode" event where players have to choose from preselected cards/decks from the All Will Be One set. Players would attempt to beat a sequence of "bot boss battles" where the player's deck has to beat the preconstructed bot deck that is themed with a Phyrexian villian or hero. After beating all 5 battles, the players can reattempt the Story Mode with any valid Explorer deck, except for the bot battles will be more difficult (think "hard mode").
This would add tremendous re-playability to the current game and encourage people to create a variety of decks that may not be viable for general PvP play. If MTGA released 5 new set-themed bot battles for each new set, there would eventually be a very long and interesting Story Mode the game has to offer!
I know that I'd replay the story mode countless times with different decks and strategies. This is the heart of the game for me, not 1v1 versus random players, many of which are using only the best cards and decks based on the current meta.
You can do this Wizards! It's only 5 new bot battles per set and some organization to put these in a continually evolving Story Mode. I know you guys like money. Well I know I'd spend a lot more time and money on MTGA if you offered such a feature.
