Duplicate protection does not work with cards previously obtained in anthologies
If you open packs with cards that were previously in anthologies such as Phyrexian Obliterator, Fauna Shaman or Thalia, Guardian of Thraben you can still get them despite having already four of them.

Different printings are treated as different cards sadly. They do get considered in drop rates so you should only get them once you have all other rares/mythics (at least that is what WotC told me)
