Mephidross $lime Death Trigger Bug
Day 5! Consistency is key, right? Once again I’ll ask can someone email me once this has landed on anyone’s radar?
The part of Mephidross $lime’s death trigger that perpetually doubles its power and toughness doesn’t work when the creature is under the effect of an instant like Feign Death or Fake your own Death. Thanks!

Are you sure it's supposed to work? "Perpetual" effects don't show up in the MTG comprehensive rules (since they're Alchemy only) but it seems like the following rule applies.
400.7. An object that moves from one zone to another becomes a new object with no memory of, or relation to, its previous existence.
The death trigger says to double the P/T of the Mephidross ***** in the Graveyard. But the Fake Your Own Death effect causes it to change zones to the battlefield, making it a new object. When the death trigger resolves, it tries to double the P/T of an object that doesn't exist anymore, so that part doesn't happen.
