Overloaded Mage Ring doesn't Allow to Choose New Targets
The Situation is as follows: I cast Deadly Derision targetting my opponent's creature. I copy it with Overloaded Mage Ring, which should allow me to choose new targets for the copy. (Check out the rulings here: https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=607089). However, I am unable to choose new targets for the copy, so the copy resolves targetting the first creature and the second fizzles.
In terms of personal impact, this meant that I didn't have mana to cast my second copy of deadly derision that was needed to stabilize and win the game; so I lost instead. This was the 3rd loss out of three in a paid limited event with prizes.
Good customer support would not only fix the bug, but also refund me for the entrance fee. However, I'm not expecting any compensation since I have never been made whole for other, even more egregious bugs that I've had the misfortune of encountering and reporting - even when the customer support personnel claimed that they would restore the damage done by the faulty coding.

I also have this issue. I have also lost games and lost gems because of this issue. This time, I attempted to kill 2x UW Knight Lords, and only one died, and I can't figure out why. At first, I thought Overloaded Mage Ring didn't work at all, but this post here makes much more sense.
I have attached my log file, since a screenshot is too difficult to make unless you're recording video.
Like the original poster, WotC never reimburses me for bug-related losses. I'm probably owed about 5 draft tokens by now over time lost in history, but since WotC never actually provides compensation for their own mistakes, I have come to expect this level of poor quality customer service.
Good show, WotC. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks you're the worst.
