Legendary instants and sorceries need a legendary creature or planeswalker under your control to cast.

Isildur's Fateful Strike was not castable from my hand. I had the mana available and the targets. This persisted over multiple turns. I ended up cycling the card as it was useless to me.

1. You can reproduce simply by having the card in hand.
2. I'm using the PC platform.
3. Isildur's Fateful Strike would not highlight or allow me to cast it at all.
4. I expected to be able to cast the spell as normal.
5. I've attached a screen shot
6. No work around I'm aware of.

Needs a legendary creature or planeswalker under your control to be cast, as per the rules for legendary instants and sorceries.

Legendary Instant, but does not. Caused loss of game. Fix please.

You need a legendary creature or planeswalker to cast a Legendary Instant

In the draft of lotr, i got the spell Isildur fateful strike in the Main hand. But i can't cast it when I want as a instant or in My turn.
It work in the 7-8 turn

Same for me... was doing pretty well until I couldn't cast the spell, even with all black mana...

In order to cast this spell, you must control a legendary creature. Not sure why this rules text isn't highlighted more.

I experienced this bug as well. Made me lose a premier draft game.

I experienced the same issue. Really disappointing after selecting the card highly in draft and then having it just be a dead card in hand.

I was playing in a premier draft. For no reason I can see, I was not able to cast the legendary instant Isildur’s Fateful Strike. Correct mana available, legal targets, just not able to cast. Cost me the game. Bummer, please provide compensation. Arena Username is mainybill, game around 6:40 AM PDT on 6/27/23.

I experienced the same issue. i was not able to cast Isildur's Fateful Strike even though I had the mana to cast it. I had 2 swamp and 3 island.

Did you control a legendary creature?

Pasued on opponet,s draw step, i had the requisite mana and there were valid targets but the game didn't let me play Isildur's Fateful Strike. This wasted my entire fourth turn and may have cost me the game, which unfortunately also was my third loss in the league.

Same problem not in draft.

Same thing happened to me.
