Same problem , all my Golden packs are empty.

I could not find anwhere that these pack dont contain any cards from Phyerixa, Brothers war, March of the machine. But, they dont. So im not opening them untill they contan cards from new sets.

Same issue for me, copy of the daily deals page with pack bought, without progress in the Golden pack ladder !

Thank you Wizards to take in consideration this issue for all players !

I have the same issue, and customer support gives me a link to a patch note that shows this change and suggested giving feedback here. This is not acceptable as the link in-game go to the documentation that says that only cards from standard sets will be given by Golden packs.

As expected nobody from customer support answered here almost 2 months after the original post, and even updated the official in-game link content.

+1 I am not interested in alchemy right now,
beside mastery pass that is giving me mostly lotr cards, now I faced 2 lotr cards in golden pack which is described on your page as
"A Golden Pack contains six cards, all of which are rare or mythic rare from a Standard-legal set and have duplicate protection."
