glamdring and ent's fury
twice in a sealed witch I now have lost due to this interaction. having glamdring equipped on a creature then cast ent's fury targeting that creature and another the opponent controls. my creature does not recieve the first strike ability that glamdring is supposed to apply and i get blown out to loose games.

First strike has no function outside of combat, because first strike creates a second combat damage step, and lets only creatures with first strike or double strike deal combat damage in the first of those. A fight is not combat, it has no combat damage steps. The creatures simply deal damage to each other, no going first or second.
