Throne of Eldraine unexpected pack opening behavior

- Enter the actual results you’re experiencing Receive Gems reward, not expected Rare or Mythic card.
- Enter the expected results of the feature Expected a Rare or Mythic card when opening pack.
- Add any relevant screenshots/videos Currently have 221 of 276 rares and 70 or 88 Mythics collect in Throne of Eldraine. Opened 2 packs after winning 2 packs in recent draft event.
- If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps. none.

I've gotten gems from packs before and I don't have 4 copies of all cards of ANY rarity from ANY set. I was told that was "duplicate protection in action." -

Rares and mythics are supposed to have duplicate protection, meaning, if you open a pack of the set, you get a rare or mythic you don't have yet completed, unless you have all of them completed. The OP doesn't have the set's rares and mythics complete, so should have received rares and mythics, or wildcards, not gems.

Do you already have 4 copies of any of the Rares or Mythics from this set? Just because you already have 4 copies of a card doesn't stop you from getting more copies of the card, but since you already have 4 copies of it the game gives you compensation for Rares & Mythics in the form of Gems.
