My Light Card "Petrify" doesn't do what the card says it does.
My light card Petrify doesn't do what it says it's supposed to do in game.
The card text clearly states
"Enchant Artifact or creature
Enchanted Permanent can't attack or block ,
and it's activated abilities can't be activated"
When I use this card on other permanents listed the card continues to do it's activated abilities and even does it's abilities even if they weren't activated yet.
Why doesn't this card work like it says?

There are 2 kinds of abilities: activated and triggered. Activated abilities have a cost to be paid to do them. Triggered abilities automatically happen when a condition is met. Petrify blocks activated abilities but not triggered abilities.
