Error Updating Data PC and Mobile
After the new update for MKM Alchemy on both my PC and mobile app I get the "Error Updating Data" message when trying to launch Arena. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times (PC and mobile) including manually deleting the files on PC, switched between wifi and cell data and tried multiple different connections (mobile), run corrupt file search/cleanup (PC), and tried installing through Epic Games Launcher (PC) and I have had no luck. MTGA Status page says everything is fine, but I don't know that there is anything else I can do on my end to fix the issue.
Update - My girlfriends mobile app was working for her account and successfully completed the recent update. Since I knew her update had worked with no corrupt files, I logged her out and tried to log in and was met with the same error message, so it has to somehow be linked to my account.

WEll, i'm kinda relieved that i'm not the only one having this issu.
I'm not sure when it started for me , but i was playing it on pc since 2020-22(steam, or epic .. not sure)
But there is something with this companion app also, linked to this mtg arena profil before all these updates, which i needed to get access with a key gen or something..
Since i stopped playing i would say end 2022, i buy i new pc new phone, after 1 year not playing or even touching the apps on my pc /iphone, i had no clue about those changes .. so i just normally decided check iit out if my profile still activated. On my new phone, it worked perfectly. So all good i jump on my pc and try, ... Nothing (watch .png).. My only choice here is the "RETRY " button.. So far so good i made all different steps mention before , so i conclude aswell i was locked out from my own account, not even able to logout or try with Another account on PC (ONLY) . SO i don't get it, WotC let me get access to your client server so that i can login again. If i have to verify my id that my account is from myself, i'll we do. but letting the people just behind like that is absurd . i guess we have to be patient until a new client update asset whatever is avaible to download... no respond aswell from TechSupport, only Ai responses.. i've got tired of the same emails in my mailbox.

Same error, Mac client. Uninstalled, reinstalled, issue persists. Issue began 3/29/24; was playing yesterday and everything worked as expected.
Was able to login and play on iPad (iOS version) without issue.

My android tablet started to show this error on last update (Mar 26th). My android phone do not show this error. Sometimes it starts to work when I restart the device and sometimes not. I tried cleaning cache and reinstalling.

Same issue for me. Changing my device name on Windows fixes it but I have to do it once a day. Mac has same issue but can't figure out how to get it working.

This is happening on my mobile device as well. If I switch to Wi-Fi it works, but over mobile data it won't work

Also receiving this error on my android tablet. If I use my phone hotspot, I can get past the error. But not with my wifi

I have the same problem and have confirmed that using a different account i can access the game without issues. This is terrible, i told support about this and how it would be linked to something regarding the account and support is saying they have no further means to help solve the issue which basically means i'm locked out of my account :( I don't know about you, but I'm not a F2P player and this is just absurd.

Here to parrot the MKM festival event deck scenario: if you had a bugged event where you couldn’t keep playing then you may not be able to log in after the update. This very much happened to me and there needs to be some word from WotC. The problem is too widespread to be all of our collective connections timing out or whatever.

Same here. Tried everything multiple times. When I tether my phone to my comp Arena works fine, but when I get on WiFi...get the error message. No idea what that can even mean. Restarted my router/flushed cache through terminal, uninstalled/re-installed...nothing.
Everyone just keep on messaging Wizards customer service. They have to try and work it out if we keep bombarding them!!!

same issue; updated on the phone first, got the error and then when I got home tried PC and got the same "Error Updating Data:" have uninstalled on both, cleared caches/data, etc

Read further through the comments and noted comment regarding a glitch in the MKM Story Deck Event where you could no longer select a deck and keep playing event. Can confirm this happened to me prior to latest update, then following update got the "error updating data" issue.
