Error Updating Data PC and Mobile
After the new update for MKM Alchemy on both my PC and mobile app I get the "Error Updating Data" message when trying to launch Arena. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times (PC and mobile) including manually deleting the files on PC, switched between wifi and cell data and tried multiple different connections (mobile), run corrupt file search/cleanup (PC), and tried installing through Epic Games Launcher (PC) and I have had no luck. MTGA Status page says everything is fine, but I don't know that there is anything else I can do on my end to fix the issue.
Update - My girlfriends mobile app was working for her account and successfully completed the recent update. Since I knew her update had worked with no corrupt files, I logged her out and tried to log in and was met with the same error message, so it has to somehow be linked to my account.

Played since beta wo any issues. Got this error first time a couple of days ago. Tried all the "google fixes" like disable ipv6 not using noneng chars etc. Nothing fixed it.

Same thing happening to me. Started June 19 2025 ish. Have tried disabling IPv6, switching DNS, nothing works, and this has led to me having to use less reliable means of NVIDIA GeForce now hour long sessions to workaround. Timed session doesn't consistently show how long the session is left, so this leads me to losing games when it inevitably times out. Very frustrating to spend money on gems/drafts and then get screwed like this. I expect compensation for this issue.

Something that worked for me was simply unplugging my ethernet cable and connecting to wifi.

Update: I was able to resolve this by updating to google DNS and ipv6 servers for my router, which now enables mobile client to update.

Having trouble to connect as well, must uninstall and reinstall the client constantly to be able to play the game, but as soon as you close the game, you won't be able to connect again unless you go through entire process again... Please WOTC do something to help your customers

This has just started happening to me (same on 2 different computers). The problems did not follow an update, it was working fine last week and now I can no longer access my account, have tried all the steps people have mentioned below and elsewhere online.
Edit: A fresh re-install worked on 1 computer (Windows 10), tried the laptop (Windows 11) in the morning and now neither will connect again.

Getting this error. Tried renaming PC, disabling IPv6, and changing my IP address as others (here or on Reddit) have suggested, but it's still not working.

WEll, i'm kinda relieved that i'm not the only one having this issu.
I'm not sure when it started for me , but i was playing it on pc since 2020-22(steam, or epic .. not sure)
But there is something with this companion app also, linked to this mtg arena profil before all these updates, which i needed to get access with a key gen or something..
Since i stopped playing i would say end 2022, i buy i new pc new phone, after 1 year not playing or even touching the apps on my pc /iphone, i had no clue about those changes .. so i just normally decided check iit out if my profile still activated. On my new phone, it worked perfectly. So all good i jump on my pc and try, ... Nothing (watch .png).. My only choice here is the "RETRY " button.. So far so good i made all different steps mention before , so i conclude aswell i was locked out from my own account, not even able to logout or try with Another account on PC (ONLY) . SO i don't get it, WotC let me get access to your client server so that i can login again. If i have to verify my id that my account is from myself, i'll we do. but letting the people just behind like that is absurd . i guess we have to be patient until a new client update asset whatever is avaible to download... no respond aswell from TechSupport, only Ai responses.. i've got tired of the same emails in my mailbox.

Same error, Mac client. Uninstalled, reinstalled, issue persists. Issue began 3/29/24; was playing yesterday and everything worked as expected.
Was able to login and play on iPad (iOS version) without issue.
