Cactarantula rules issue
- Opponent played that new blue Spree card that swaps control of creatures, his mercenary token for my Cactarantula.
- With that spell on the stack, I Shoot the Sheriff my own Cactarantula so he can't have it.
- I get to draw a card?!
That's not right. Cactarantula wasn't the target of a spell an opponent controlled.

The spree spell targeted your creature, that's why you got to draw a card.
