Historic Artisan Banlist Error (and other suggestions)
There is an error on the Historic Artisan banlist. It says that Cauldron Familiar is banned, but it turns out that A-Cauldron Familiar is still allowed. This is a little confusing, as Cauldron Familiar is not even in Historic Artisan, so either the card shouldn't be on the banlist, or you should update it to A-Cauldron Familiar.
As someone who has run and participated in quite a few Artisan tournaments, there are also some other things I would suggest about the banlist, based on having tested extensively with these cards:
Wilderness Reclamation and Veil of Summer could be unbanned without issue. Green is currently one of the weakest colors of the format, and these two cards would open up a unique new strategy that uses it.
Persistent Petitioners are not worth banning/should be unbanned, and even if you want them banned to improve deckbuilding creativity, then Rat Colony is an even stronger and less creative deck, so at the very least, there's inconsistency here.
Abiding Grace and A-Cauldron Familiar are both riskier to unban, but would lead to interesting new strategies (and A-Cauldron Familiar is probably okay after the nerf).
There are also a few cards that are probably too strong for the format that are worth considering adding to the banlist. In order from most worth banning to least worth banning, we have Oni-Cult Anvil (which was the key piece of an insanely strong decklist that we eventually banned from our tournament series), Nazgul (which wins super easily and is the biggest "if you don't have an answer you die" deck in the format), Scurry Oak (which is part of the most consistent combo deck of the format), and Putrid Goblin (the centerpiece of the fastest combo deck in the format).
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, there are some cards that aren't a huge issue from a balance perspective, but have other issues. These include Mishra's Bauble (which if allowed in the format, makes it impossible to run tournaments with the "Historic Tournament" challenge option) and cards that let you draft Rare cards (March towards Perfection, Xander's Wake, etc.), which ruin the spirit of the format by breaking the rarity pie.
While I wouldn't suggest you take every single one of these suggestions, but as someone who is heavily invested in the format and studied it extensively, I wanted to add 2 cents on top of bringing up the "Cauldron Familiar vs. A-Cauldron Familiar" issue in the current banlist.
Thank you!
