I had a third path ionoclast (blue/red creature) on the board that was getting removed by an opponent's spell. In response, I played meeting of minds (convoke spell) and tapped my third path ionoclast to pay for part of the spell. Holding priority, I wanted to play flare of duplication sacrificing the third path ionoclast to copy the meeting of minds after it went on the stack. As you can see in the screenshot, I wasn't given the option to sacrifice the third path ionoclast to copy the meeting of minds or even copy my opponent's removal spell.

What I think should happen is that I pay for meeting of minds (tapping the third path ionoclast), it goes onto the stack, before it resolves, I sacrifice third path ionoclast paying for flare of duplication, flare of duplication goes onto the stack, and then priority gets passed as normal.
