Freeze and crash of the general client user interface on PC following the September 12 update
Following the September 12 update, the download of the update seems to have gone well. However, the game interface freezes as soon as I try to go to the Packs or the Store pages, or when I try to click on the quest renewal. The game freezes and it's no longer possible to access the menus, even if it's just to close the game. The bug concerns a PC platform.

ATTENTION! THIS MAY NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE BUT IT JUST WORKED FOR ME!
After a month of being without my favorite game, I finally thought to check my graphics card. I figured out what card I have, went to the Intel website, and checked for graphics cards updates. Sure enough, an update was released on 9/9/24 which is right when I started having problems. Performed a clean install (removing the old drivers) and now my game runs fine. FINALLY, I can draft Duskmourn!!

Happened at Windows PC, freeze and can not move after I triggered Omnivorous Flytrap ability.
Only can watch the time running out and pass the turn. -

Also happening on Android. Win or opponents forfeit, goes to server loading, then to main screen, and no exp given. Won about a dozen games and no exp received

Hi all, the same thing happened to me. I tried everything, it drove me crazy for a few weeks. I just found a solution on a reddit forum. Switch graphics in MTGA to MEDIUM !!! And it is. Funny, isn't it?

Same issue here. Every time I open the packs tab it crashes. I can't try the "buy an alchemy pack" fix as the packs tab in the store crashes the game as well. It also crashes every two out of three games so I can't progress on the ladder. it's been since the new season started.

How is this ignored for a month now, obviously it's minority that's affected, but it's still a lot of paying customers. It's wild to me we are being ignored. Not a singel official statement acknowledging that this exists. Like they don't care.

It is a same symptom for me in my PC platform in Duskmourn pack.
After stopping MTGA (PC), you can find your log "Look rotation viewing vector is zero"
Im my opinion MTGA team releases for a solution :
MTGA install files full version or minor(lighter) version as like moblie version in PC plattform. -

Here's a video of what happens when you try to open the Packs tab with a standard Duskmourn pack available. It freezes every time as it tries to load the image of the pack.

Hello. I've been having the same issue. I seem to have fixed it today by buying an Alchemy pack of Duskmourn. When I opened the Packs tab it has the Alchemy pack in front of the standard pack that I had before and it did not crash the game. I was able to open the standard packs before the Alchemy packs and it let me open everything without freezing. I think it has to do with the graphics for the Standard Duskmourn packs. It would freeze every time it tried to load the image of the pack waving back and forth before you open it. Having the Alchemy pack ahead of it seems to fix the problem. I hope this helps everyone!!!

Hi, I'm facing the same problem on my laptop (running windows). The game interface always freeze if I try to swap the daily quest or to join a draft. Customer service redirected me here, I don't know if I have to send another email or just to post here and waiting for an answer.

Desde septiembre el juego se blockea muy rápido. Esto es un desastre, que la compañía haga una actualización que impida jugar.. y la mantengan mas de un mes con otras dos actualizaciones de por medio, conozco muchos con este mismo problema, están perdiendo jugadores en masa y no lo solucionan.

I´m having the same problems as everybody here... the game crashes everytime i try the acess the store or try to open a pack...
i would invest money in this game, but due to all these problems i won't.WoTC, stop being lazy- listen to the clients and fix this.

As Magic enthusiast and IT guy, I did really want to play and fix this. As some people already noted, the issue can sometimes be resolved when changing the graphic settings to low. Running the system in a Linux I was able to see the process which hangs up (logs attached). The issue is within the Shader, which tries to load an invalid image. For further help in debugging feel free to reach out to me... Maybe, just maybe Wizards of the Coast should not have fired so many people last year.

It's weird that this only started happening for me after the September 25 update, but it's unplayable on mac. I was playing with no issues from september 12 up to September 24.
I was planning to go ham on the Duskmourn update, but I can only play it on my windows desktop (mobile constantly crashes, as usual), and I usually don't have access to it when I would be playing. -

Every time I try to enter a draft I the game crashes. I haven't been able to play for weeks, WotC!
