Freeze and crash of the general client user interface on PC following the September 12 update
Following the September 12 update, the download of the update seems to have gone well. However, the game interface freezes as soon as I try to go to the Packs or the Store pages, or when I try to click on the quest renewal. The game freezes and it's no longer possible to access the menus, even if it's just to close the game. The bug concerns a PC platform.

Same issue for me. I can play ranked queue, though it seems to be freezing more and need a restart of the client. I can't access my packs page to open packs...it just never loads and eventually crashes and needs a restart, which doesn't resolve the issue.
UPDATE: Read the thread and one comment about setting graphics to Medium worked and I can now open my packs.

Same here.
Exactly the same crashes after freezes when I tried to switch quests,open packs or click on store.
During games just some activation or cards mechanics freeze the app,but not very frequently.
Please fix asap -

Same issue here, ranked games are still doable but the games freezes as soon as y try to join limited queues

I’m having the same exact problem this past week. The game is next to unplayable for me. I contacted support about the issue, but was not provided with information on when the issue would be fixed. This is not an enjoyable experience. I do not see myself spending money on this game, much less playing it in the future if this is the level of communication and service we can expect.

I thought I was the only one with the same problem...I installed MTG on Steam thinking it could be fixed and nothing came back. Uninstall and reinstall today the problem continues...impossible to access the store normally, just play.

Found a thread on Reddit where people found out that setting your graphics profile (in-game) to Medium seems to prevent the system from crashing. I tried this and can confirm that on my 3 pc's (all with a Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU) the game works as expected again.
Note: Other profiles cause the game to crash, only Medium works.

Happens to me too. Same issue as described, basically cannot do anything that interacts with the store, not change reward, not participate in drafts. Game freezes and then screen is blinking. I am on Mac version on MTG Arena, updating to Sequoia did not help.

Same here, I just want to play Bloomburrow as long as I can, because Duskmourn is not for me. Now this latest update ruined it all. It just makes me wanne quit again ( Played from 1996 to 2013, started again in 2023).

Same here. After the update it is horrible. The game crashes all the time if i try to change something in the Deckbuilder :everytime!!! it freezes

I changed de display setting of shadows to médium , and activated Bloom, and fps to 60, ir hás resolved the problens for now...

same to me, total disaster. Store and pack tabs insta crash my client. I can manage to play games on the very lowest and worst settings. My mac is pretty powerful, I other much more resource-intensive games like Civ without any issues. Please fix ASAP :)

I managed to get one game played, but then the second game crashed so many times that I didn't even care about the match loss. I already set graphics to low, also tried medium, tried full screen and not full screen, set the affinity for mtga.exe to cpu 0 -- nothing changes. I strongly suggest that whatever update you rolled out needs to be rolled back.

Thanks redjack#52477. I switched from Graphics on Low to Medium in full screen and everything is now working. I did not get a micro update and everything froze on Low this morning.
For the developers, I'm running on a low power laptop from 2016. Arena has run well on it since the Beta with only slight slowdowns, all on the Low Graphics setting. Whatever 9/12/24 update change affected Low Graphics, please revert it.

now we should be able to play, after the micro update implemented yesterday it should not exist any more problems, it worked for me
