Freeze and crash of the general client user interface on PC following the September 12 update
Following the September 12 update, the download of the update seems to have gone well. However, the game interface freezes as soon as I try to go to the Packs or the Store pages, or when I try to click on the quest renewal. The game freezes and it's no longer possible to access the menus, even if it's just to close the game. The bug concerns a PC platform.

Yes for me is the same game freeze sometimes and freeze EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY TO GO ON TH SHOP OR TO OPEN PACKS...FROM WHAT I SEE IT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AFTER THE LATEST UPDATE WHICH AFFECTS MANY PLAYERS, I URGENTLY ASK FOR A REMEDY, SINCE WE HAVE INVESTED MONEY AND TIME IN THE GAME, A GAME THAT WE LOVE AND CARE ABOUT, THANKS

I have not been able to use the game in over a week. Any time I click Decks, Store or anything past the main screen it freezes trying to connect to the server

I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I thought I might be the only one having this problem because I kept checking to see if there were any issues on the main site. Literally every single time I try to open a pack of cards, buy a pack of cards, or visit the store (I plan to probably buy some things in the near future)...I cannot access anything because the game freezes. I was getting pretty angry about it but have been a victim of hacking for awhile so I thought it was just me. I constantly have small problems like having my cards flipped around in my hands so I can't see what they are, having my deck completely milled when I searched for a card, ect. Aggravating especially when I know I'd probably win the game if it wasn't for this stuff.

Having a similar problem on mobile. Sometimes crashing every turn. It's causing me to lose ranked games as it's inconsistent on when it happens.

same here, but when related to the artifact draft event. I manage to play the draft but even during the games the game constantly freezes. Just with content related to that event so far...

Same for me. As soon as my Arena attempts to contact the server, the game crashes.
I've deleted and unistalled the game, then reinstalled but to no effect.
And its all after this update! 2024.40.30.6688.1090994 -

I had the same problem and no help from support team of wizard.
thank you Boulliebeest#79366, for me the "medium" profile solve the freeze. Other solution to change just FPS didn't worked for me.

I had the same problem, I think the problem is the FPS limit, I put it at 60 and the resolution at 1280x720. Now it is all good. Anti-aliasing is on low and everything else is off.

Same. It doesn't do it all the time, or with any real consistency, but when it does I have to reboot the whole client, only to get maybe 1 or 2 minutes of uninterrupted play.

Same issue for me. I can play ranked queue, though it seems to be freezing more and need a restart of the client. I can't access my packs page to open packs...it just never loads and eventually crashes and needs a restart, which doesn't resolve the issue.
UPDATE: Read the thread and one comment about setting graphics to Medium worked and I can now open my packs.

Same here.
Exactly the same crashes after freezes when I tried to switch quests,open packs or click on store.
During games just some activation or cards mechanics freeze the app,but not very frequently.
Please fix asap -

Same issue here, ranked games are still doable but the games freezes as soon as y try to join limited queues

I’m having the same exact problem this past week. The game is next to unplayable for me. I contacted support about the issue, but was not provided with information on when the issue would be fixed. This is not an enjoyable experience. I do not see myself spending money on this game, much less playing it in the future if this is the level of communication and service we can expect.

I thought I was the only one with the same problem...I installed MTG on Steam thinking it could be fixed and nothing came back. Uninstall and reinstall today the problem continues...impossible to access the store normally, just play.
