When opponent took control of Rip, Spawn Hunter who was enchanted with Sheltered By Ghosts and equipped with Killer's Mask, Sheltered By Ghosts left the playfield and entered my graveyard.

No, that was the correct interaction. Sheltered by Ghosts must enchant a creature it's owner controls, so as soon as your opponent took control of Rip, she wasn't a legal target for Sheltered by Ghosts.
