Ward Issue
In my recent MTG Arena limited game (on iOS), I had a Lionheart Glimmer enchanted with Sheltered By Ghosts. My opponent cast Final Vengeance targeting Lionheart Glimmer, but only paid 1 black mana. Despite this, the spell was not countered. I believe this is a bug, as the creature should have ward 4, and Final Vengeance targets it, and is counterable.

Did your opponent have a Nowhere to Run on the battlefield? It would let them ignore hexproof & ward.
