Playing Dreadhorde Invasion before Bloodline Pretender forces the +1 amass mechanic to give a counter to Bloodline Pretender. But the reverse allows a counter to be placed on either the Amassed Zombie Army OR the Bloodline Pretender. I think any order should allow the player the choice to put a counter on the amassed zombie army or the Bloodline Pretender.
The adverse result of the above is not being able to gain liflelink on a zombie token whose power is 6 or greater.

You don't get a token with amass, if you control an Army. Bloodline Pretender IS an Army, so you don't get a token when it is on the field.
