Unable to embalm a camera launcher after targeting it with Cursecloth Wrappings, despite having the mana available. Got the error message "Cannot be completed due to unpayable cost".

Hi all,

The same just happened to me while trying to embalm Zahur: "Cannot be completed due to unpayable cost". It costed me one game.

The problem might be coming from me mistakenly trying to embalm it during my opponent's turn. After that, I couldn't embalm it anymore. All other creatures embalm were working fine though.

That was unfortunate :(

Just lost a match because of this interaction not working with Mutant Surveyor

I experienced the same issue during the midweek magic event where I tried to embalm a Cloudspire Captain. I had used the ability of Cursecloth Wrappings to embalm the same card on the previous turn but did not cast it due to not having enough mana, then when I tried to play it on the following turn this happened. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I also had the issue attempting to embalm a Sabotage Strategist during a draft.

I think creatures gives the embalm ability given by Cursecloth Wrappings won't clear,cause to
double pay for embalm.

Same here- I couldn't embalm "Embalmed Ascendant." I lost a match due to it...
