I recently played a game where an opponent played Faith's Fetters on a Toralf, God of Fury. The latter card was played in its creature mode. Excess non-combat damage was dealt, but the Faith's Fetters apparently blocked the triggered ability on Toralf. Faith's Fetters is only supposed to block activated abilities.
