Yrga Eater of All and Witness Protection
I just played a game where I had Ygra, Eater of All on the battlefield and my opponent targeted it with Witness Protection. After WP resolved, Yrga's ability text was greyed out but all other creatures still remained as food artifacts as tho Yrga's ability was still in effect. I don't think it's supposed to work that way?

No bug. Because layers. Due to the type changes from Ygra's ability, making her lose her abilities does not stop that effect, sincde it already started applying before the ability loss is processed, and 613.6 applies.
613.6. If an effect should be applied in different layers and/or sublayers, the parts of the effect each
apply in their appropriate ones. If an effect starts to apply in one layer and/or sublayer, it will
continue to be applied to the same set of objects in each other applicable layer and/or sublayer, even
if the ability generating the effect is removed during this process
