Ugin 8 + Shifting Woods Bug
Used shifting woods to copy Ugin 8 in my graveyard. I had Ugin 7 on the board. The interaction exiled Ugin 8 while destroying my shifting woods. I do not believe there were any cards on board or other interactions that could have caused this.

Ah that makes sense. But why was the Ugin exiled because of that? I think that part is still unexplained.

The Woodlands just turned into a planeswalker. With no loyalty counters. So it went to the graveyard. To get starting loyalty on a planeswalker, it has to enter the battlefield.
