throne
I wanted to report what appears to be a bug involving the interaction between Phyrexian Vindicator and Roaming Throne.
Here’s the situation:
Roaming Throne (with the correct creature type chosen) should double triggered abilities of the chosen type.
Phyrexian Vindicator contains a replacement effect to prevent damage, followed by a reflexive triggered ability:
“When damage is prevented this way, Phyrexian Vindicator deals that much damage to any other target.”
According to the Comprehensive Rules (603.12 and 603.7e), this reflexive triggered ability belongs to Phyrexian Vindicator and should qualify for Roaming Throne’s doubling effect.
Prior to recent Arena updates, this interaction worked correctly — Vindicator’s reflexive trigger would properly occur twice when damage was prevented, allowing assignment of damage to two separate targets as expected.
However, after recent updates, Arena no longer doubles the reflexive trigger from Vindicator when Roaming Throne is present, suggesting the client is not recognizing the reflexive triggered ability as belonging to the creature.
Based on current Comprehensive Rules, this behavior appears inconsistent with the card text and official rules.
Could you please confirm whether this is an intentional rules change, or whether this behavior is a bug introduced in a recent update?
Thank you for your attention, and I appreciate the incredible work you do maintaining the client!
